KENNESAW, GA. — Tekla Corporation announced that its Tekla Structures 15 BIM software is now compatible with the Microsoft Windows 7 operating system, which will be launched Oct. 22, 2009.
"Tekla is strongly committed to software compatibility, interoperability, and standardization," said Risto Räty, executive vice president of Tekla Corporation. "To assure our software users — structural engineers, contractors, detailers, and fabricators — that their construction projects can be executed efficiently, we want to offer them not only a chance to coordinate their various building systems with Tekla but also a version that works with the latest and greatest Windows operating system, especially now that we provide free Internet tools for model reviewing."
"By earning the Compatible with Windows 7 logo, we have confidence on the performance of Tekla Structures 15 on Windows 7-based computers," said Kim Nyberg, director of technology at Tekla. "Earning the logo is no easy task. Software publishers need to adhere to strict technical requirements and to have their solutions pass a series of quality tests. The presence of the compatibility logo on Tekla Structures is a guarantee that our customers will be able to use it with Windows 7."
