SIGNAL HILL, CALIF — 1st Pricing, a California-based eCommerce and technology company, announced that they released a plug-in that links their 5D Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology to AutoCAD® Revit® Architecture 2010. This will be the first technology to fully integrate BIM into the design process by automatically creating detailed bill of materials with pricing and an online shopping cart.

According to the company, the plug-in will allow architects and designers to access real-world and commercially available products in their designs. The plug-in is designed to automatically access external databases for availability, pricing, performance ratings of the products used. Additionally the technology can provide "Green" information, energy ratings, RFID or provide comparison pricing of multiple brands.
