Collaboration and interoperability with BIM webcast

CHICAGO — Structural Engineer is hosting a new webcast, Collaboration and Interoperability with BIM for Structural Engineering, on Sept. 24, 2009, at 2 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time. In this presentation, sponsored by Autodesk, Technical Specialist for Autodesk Structural Engineering Solutions Betsy Werra will present Autodesk Revit Structure in action. She will demonstrate how structural engineers can benefit from an integrated workflow — from design and analysis all the way to fabrication — leveraging the intelligent, rich information created within a Revit design model through the process of building information modeling (BIM).

Special guest David Odeh, principal of Odeh Engineers, Inc., will discuss how BIM can help structural engineers discover new ways of doing work and enable them to stay competitive. Through case study examples, David will explain how Odeh Engineers uses Autodesk solutions for structural engineering as the basis of their collaboration technology to enhance BIM workflows throughout their projects.

Certificates of attendance for 1 PDH will be provided to registered attendees that view the entire presentation. However, it is the responsibility of the licensee to determine if this method of continuing education meets his or her governing board(s) of registration’s requirements, including the fact that the sponsor is presenting.
